s MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> MAY 23, 1995 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:10PM <br /> Finance Committee members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia <br /> King, Vice Chairman; Juan Bacigalupi and Sid Golub. Denise <br /> Sullivan and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> Minutes <br /> Juan Bacigalupi MOTIONED to approve the Minutes of May 9, 1995 as <br /> written. Marcia King seconded the Motion and members approved the <br /> Minutes by a vote of 4-0. <br /> Correspondence <br /> The Finance Committee received a letter from Mike Kumin informing <br /> them of his desire to fill the vacant seat on the Finance <br /> Committee. The Committee asked that Joyce Mason be asked if there <br /> were any other applicants. <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that there was a letter of resignation from <br /> Deirdre Greelish from the Capital Improvement Committee. Mr. <br /> Goggin asked that the Committee think about other candidates for <br /> that Committee. Mr. Bacigalupi mentioned that the Committee should <br /> make sure their nominee is not in conflict with the By-Laws. <br /> The Committee also received a memorandum from the Executive <br /> Secretary regarding an analysis of benefits. Mr. Bacigalupi stated <br /> that he had attended the Selectmen's meeting the previous evening <br /> and Jim Vaccaro stated that he would like to meet with the Finance <br /> Committee to discuss contracts. The Selectmen's next meeting is <br /> June 5th, but the Committee did not feel that they would be ready <br /> to discuss contracts at that time. <br /> The Committee also received a memorandum from Marilyn Farren <br /> notifying all PAP employees of a Department Head meeting scheduled <br /> for Wednesday, June 7 , 1995 at 8 : 30AM. Ms. King asked that a <br /> letter be sent to Ms. Farren requesting a copy of the <br /> Classification and Compensation Study of the non-unionized <br /> positions. Mr. Golub mentioned that he would attend that meeting <br /> on behalf of the Finance Committee. <br /> The Committee received a letter from the District Attorney <br /> requesting a copy of the Minutes of May 2, 1995 and evidence of the <br /> posting of notice. There was also a Order of Notice, Civil Action <br /> Cover Sheet and a copy of a complaint against the Town and the <br /> Finance Committee. <br />
