Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 5 <br /> January 12, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS7 <br /> Acceptance of Traffic Safcly Study Proposal: <br /> Correspondence was received from Edward Govoni, Chairman of the <br /> Board of Appeals dated January 12, 1998 relative to the responses to <br /> the Request for Proposals for the proposed Dunkin' Donuts and related <br /> Traffic Study Proposal. <br /> The Board of Appeals ranked the five proposals received in order of <br /> preference for the Selectmen's review and consideration. The firm of <br /> Bruce Campbell &Associates was deemed highly advantageous, and have <br /> extensive experience in traffic safety studies. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the Traffic Safety <br /> Study Proposal. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to authorize the Board of Appeals <br /> to enter into negotiations with Bruce Campbell &Associates to <br /> conduct the Traffic Safety Study on behalf of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Approval of Winter Carnival/Parade Permit: <br /> The Board received a request from the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod <br /> to conduct a parade and sponsor a winter carnival on February 7, 1998 <br /> with a rain date of February 8, 1998. <br /> Correspondence was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated <br /> January 9, 1998 relative to the permit application. Chief Przybylek has <br /> advised that a regular patrol cruiser assist with any traffic on Jobs Fishing <br /> Road, and allow a cruiser to lead the parade. The parade will stage in <br /> either Christ The King's parking lot or in the Library parking lot. <br />
