Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 5 <br /> Monday,January 26, 1998 <br /> Resignation: Selectman Peter A. Dinizio: <br /> Selectman Costa announced the resignation of Peter A. Dinizio <br /> as Selectman of the Town of Mashpee effective on this date, <br /> January 26, 1998. The resignation was accepted by the Board with regret. <br /> Approval of Communily Development Administrator Contract: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to place the above as an <br /> agenda topic of discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Department of Housing and <br /> Community Development dated January 12, 1998 announcing that the <br /> Town of Mashpee, with joint communities; Bourne,Falmouth, Sandwich, <br /> Oak Bluffs,Dennis, Nantucket,Edgartown, West Tisbury, Tisbury, and <br /> Chilmark have been awarded a grant in the amount of$278,000 from the <br /> Massachusetts Community Development block Grant Program FY97, <br /> Ready Resource Fund. <br /> The Town of Mashpee is responsible to administer grant funds on behalf <br /> of the ten communities to address community development needs. The <br /> salary of the Community Development Administrator, thirty-two hours per <br /> week, is one hundred percent grant funded through December, 1998. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Memorandum <br /> of Understanding between the Town of Mashpee and Cynthia Sturges, <br /> Community Development Administrator as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> .Bu get Workshop Session: <br /> Mr. Whritenour,Executive Secretary presented the fiscal year 1999 budget <br /> analysis of available revenues dated January 15, 1998 and a compilation of <br /> budget priorities to the Selectmen for review. Members of the Board were <br /> requested to incorporate additional budget priorities to the Executive Secretary. <br />
