Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 8 <br /> January 11, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Fire Station Building Committee-Designer Selection <br /> Correspondence was received from Joyce M. Mason, Chairman of the <br /> Fire Station Building Committee requesting the Selectmen designate <br /> the architectural firm of Wallace,Floyd, Associates, Inc. as the selected <br /> architect for the renovation/addition to the Fire&Rescue station project. <br /> In accordance with the Designer Selection Criteria, Wallace, Floyd, Associates <br /> was the unanimous first choice recommendation of the committee. The Building <br /> Committee has also requested the Selectmen grant authorization to negotiate a <br /> fee for services in order to prepare a contract for the Board's approval and <br /> execution. There is currently $64,000 in the Fire&Rescue station building <br /> account for designer services. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to designate Wallace,Floyd, Associates, <br /> Inc. of Boston as the selected architect for the Fire & Rescue station project, <br /> and authorize the Building Committee along with the Town Administrator to <br /> negotiate a fee for services and other appropriate terms and conditions in <br /> order to prepare a contract for the Selectmen's approval and execution. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Proclamation National Random Acts of Kindness Week <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to proclaim February 8- 14, 1999 <br /> as National Random Acts of Kindness Week <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
