6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 10, 2000 <br /> Meeting re-convened: 6:53 p.m. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, December 20, 1999 Regular and Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the <br /> Regular Session minutes of Monday, December 20, 1999 <br /> as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the <br /> Executive Session minutes of Monday, December 20, 1999 <br /> as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Ed Larkin presented a letter of concern on behalf of eighty-five residents <br /> of the Southport community in opposition to the proposed Burger King <br /> to be sited in the area of Old Barnstable Road and Route 151. <br /> Mr. Larkin voiced concern to increased traffic and safety hazards. <br /> The Board encouraged Mr. Larkin to attend hearings held by the <br /> Zoning Board of Appeals relative to this matter of concern. <br /> Public Hearing—Road Conversion: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing on the conversion of <br /> Trout Brook Road,Alewife Road, Yellow Perch Circle and Bass Cove <br /> Circle from private to public ways. <br /> Mrs. Mason, Assistant Town Administrator read aloud the Public <br /> Hearing notice as published. An approximate betterment cost was <br /> submitted by the Director of Public Works for the proposed road <br /> conversion. <br />
