1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 7, 2000 <br /> Present: Selectman Marsters, Selectman Leveille, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Blythe <br /> Town Administrator Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Marsters at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room #1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday January 24 2000 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday, January 24, 2000 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence from Ann Whitlow re: Preservation of Mashpee: <br /> Correspondence was received from Ann Whitlow, Chairman of the <br /> Historical Commission dated January 31, 2000 relative to the preservation <br /> of the Old Schoolhouse and meeting place now referred to as The South <br /> Mashpee School/Ockway Chapel located on Meetinghouse Road adjacent <br /> to the Old Indian Meeting House. <br /> The Commission has requested the Board's affirmation to entrust the <br /> Historical Commission with the care and custody of the town owned <br /> building, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to fully support the endeavors <br /> of the Mashpee Historical Commission to restore the Old <br /> Schoolhouse. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
