4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 24, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing=Upper Cape Transportation(continued) <br /> The Board of Selectmen re-opened the Public Hearing for the purpose of <br /> continuing the hearing on the application of Upper Cape Transportation <br /> Corporation, d/b/a Mashpee Livery, for a Livery License to operate at 25 <br /> Bowdoin Road, Mashpee. <br /> James Morgan,President of Upper Cape Transportation was present to <br /> discuss the license request with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Sergeant Umina, Taxi Inspector was present, and recommended the livery <br /> license not be approved in light of the applicant's disregard for the Town's <br /> taxi regulations. Sergeant Umina presented correspondence to the <br /> Selectmen in a memorandum dated July 16, 2000 relative to a recent <br /> violation. In addition, Sergeant Umina has recommended the Board <br /> suspend the taxi license of Upper Cape Transportation as a result of the <br /> violation that occurred on 7/13/00. <br /> In response, Mr. Morgan requested the Board schedule a hearing on the <br /> above referenced matter. It was noted that the authorized examiner must <br /> remit notification to the owner of the subject content. After this time, the <br /> owner is able to request such a hearing. <br /> Being no further comment, the Board motioned to close the Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Green absent for vote. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to continue the hearing on the <br /> application of Upper Cape Transportation Corporation, d/b/a <br /> Mashpee Livery, for a Livery License to operate at 25 Bowdoin Road, <br /> Mashpee to Monday, August 7, 2000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Green absent for vote. <br />
