3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 14, 2000 <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: <br /> Waterways Maintenance Account: ($65,000) <br /> Article proposed to appropriate the sum of$65,000 to the Waterways <br /> Maintenance Account to be used for maintenance dredging of the <br /> Popponesset Bay and Waquoit Bay channels when and as required under <br /> the direction of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> The Board agreed to delete from the article submission,the explanation as <br /> it appears under item (a); Additional boat and navigational aid equipment <br /> as required. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to apply surplus funding from <br /> the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates as follows; <br /> Credit: $18,000 Human Services <br /> Credit: $24,000 Dredging Account <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to amend the Waterways <br /> Maintenance Account to read: $33,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Waterways Maintenance Account: ($10,000) <br /> To fund engineering service to obtain permits to dredge the channel <br /> between Popponesset Island and Popponesset Spit. The Board agreed to <br /> consider the article for the May 2001 Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to delete the Waterways <br /> Maintenance Account; $10,000 from the Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
