4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 14, 2000 <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: <br /> Waterways Maintenance Account: ($200,000) <br /> The article proposes to dredge approximately 15,000 cubic yards from the <br /> Mashpee River. Permits for dredging are in the process of being obtained, <br /> and costs for dredging are not yet known. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to delete the Waterways <br /> Maintenance Account article; $200,000 from the Town Meeting <br /> warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Facilitator for Tribal Negotiations: <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from <br /> available funds a sum of money to enlist the services of a facilitator, <br /> and legal expenses for tribal negotiations. <br /> The above referenced article was placed on hold for additional <br /> clarification. The Town Accountant suggested that funding be placed into <br /> a special account for monitoring purposes opposed to being placed into the <br /> budget of legal and engineering. <br /> Cemetery Development Account: <br /> The article proposed to appropriate the sum of$275,000 to the Cemetery <br /> Development Account for design and construction costs associated to the <br /> development of a municipal cemetery. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to amend the Cemetery <br /> Development Article to read: $400,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to include in the article, funding for equipment, a <br /> maintenance shed and a sales office. In the explanation, the article would <br /> include borrowing authorization over a ten-year period. <br />
