1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 22, 2001 <br /> Present: Selectman Leveille, Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman.Green <br /> Town Administrator Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Leveille at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#l. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> n <br /> Wig Commander Col. Donald J. Ouenneville <br /> 102 Fighter Wing: <br /> Colonel Quenneville presented the Selectmen with an American flag that <br /> was flown from the cockpit of an F-15 fighter jet over Iraq. A photo of <br /> the jet was also presented in recognition and honor to the residents of the <br /> Town of Mashpee, including Lt. Col. Timothy Lynch who served the <br /> Country during Operation Southern Watch. In turn, Selectmen Leveille <br /> presented Colonel Quenneville with a plaque in appreciation on behalf of <br /> the Board of Selectmen and Town of Mashpee. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Administrative Assistant—DPW: <br /> The Director of Public Works withdrew his request for the Administrative <br /> Assistant's step increase at this time. <br /> Mr. Taylor respectfully requested the Board give credit to Susan Held for <br /> benefit purposes for time served as an employee of the Town. It was <br /> noted that Ms. Held began working for the Town of Mashpee in January <br /> of 1998. She previously worked for the School Department as a Payroll <br /> Clerk. In the Accounting Department she was a Senior Clerk/Bookkeeper. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of the DPW <br /> Director, and grant credit to Susan Held for benefit purposes. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
