5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 11, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Emergency Road Repair—Echo Road: <br /> Correspondence was received from the DPW Director dated June 6, 2001 <br /> relative to the condition of Echo Road. It was noted that the road warrants <br /> conversion, and that the area businesses should maintain the road until the <br /> conversion occurs. The potholes on the road are primarily due to the <br /> heavy equipment of the businesses located along Echo Road. <br /> It was noted that local residents have complained of the poor condition of <br /> the road and of the increased dust. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to accept the recommendation of <br /> the DPW Director, and remit correspondence to the area businesses <br /> indicating that the town is moving forward with a betterment and <br /> request that the condition of the road be maintained until the <br /> conversion occurs. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Changes in Scope—Route 130/Great Neck Intersection: <br /> Three changes in the scope of the Route 130/Great Neck Road intersection <br /> project was recommended by the Director of Public Works for approval. <br /> As follows; <br /> 1. Completion of this season's work. <br /> 2. The extension and adjustment of drainage (not to exceed $33,525) <br /> 3. The adjustment of finished grade to adapt to existing grades <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Changes in Scope <br /> of the Route 130/Great Neck Road Intersection project with unit costs <br /> as recommended pending receipt of the plan to include a detailed cost <br /> estimate for submission to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Public Hearing—Herring Regulations: <br /> The above referenced agenda topic was placed on hold at this time. <br />
