5 Board of Selectmen Minutes June 11, 2001 APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Emergency Road Repair—Echo Road: Correspondence was received from the DPW Director dated June 6, 2001 relative to the condition of Echo Road. It was noted that the road warrants conversion, and that the area businesses should maintain the road until the conversion occurs. The potholes on the road are primarily due to the heavy equipment of the businesses located along Echo Road. It was noted that local residents have complained of the poor condition of the road and of the increased dust. Motion made by Selectman Taylor to accept the recommendation of the DPW Director, and remit correspondence to the area businesses indicating that the town is moving forward with a betterment and request that the condition of the road be maintained until the conversion occurs. Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Changes in Scope—Route 130/Great Neck Intersection: Three changes in the scope of the Route 130/Great Neck Road intersection project was recommended by the Director of Public Works for approval. As follows; 1. Completion of this season's work. 2. The extension and adjustment of drainage (not to exceed $33,525) 3. The adjustment of finished grade to adapt to existing grades Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Changes in Scope of the Route 130/Great Neck Road Intersection project with unit costs as recommended pending receipt of the plan to include a detailed cost estimate for submission to the Board of Selectmen. Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Public Hearing—Herring Regulations: The above referenced agenda topic was placed on hold at this time.
