2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 9, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> F David Pocknett, Attaquin Park Committee remitted a letter of appreciation <br /> to the Board of Selectmen and Department of Public Works for assisting <br /> 4 with the installation of the parks playground equipment in an expeditious <br /> manner. <br /> The Board of Selectmen was requested to provide DPW assistance to <br /> correct the handicap accessibility requirements for the Attaquin Park <br /> restroom facility. Gregory Taylor, Director of Public Works will be <br /> contacted with respect to this regard. <br /> Ann Whitlow—Anna Tanneyhill Memorial: <br /> Historical Commission Chairman, Ann Whitlow was present to request the <br /> Selectmen proclaim July 17, 2001 as Anna Elizabeth Tanneyhill Day in <br /> the Town in recognition of her honor and dedication to Mashpee. <br /> Ms. Tanneyhill was a member of the Mashpee Historical Commission, and <br /> served as a library trustee. The library at the Archives building was also <br /> named in her honor. <br /> Ms. Whitlow also requested the Board fly the flag at half-mast on the date <br /> of July 17, 2001. A ceremony is scheduled in her honor in the Mashpee <br /> Community Park at 1:00 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to proclaim the date of July 17, <br /> 2001 as Anna Elizabeth Tanneyhill Day, and fly the Mashpee <br /> Community Park flag at half-mast on said date in recognition of Ms. <br /> Tanneyhill for her dedication and honor to the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille abstained. <br />
