2 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 6,2002 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: (continued) <br /> Correspondence was received from State Senator Robert O'Leary dated <br /> May 1, 2002 with respect to the status of House Bill 4430, an Act <br /> establishing the Mashpee Economic Development and Industrial <br /> Corporation. <br /> The Senate Ways and Means Committee is presently working on the bill, <br /> and should be acting on it within the next few weeks. Senator O'Leary is <br /> in support of Mashpee's local initiative to establish the Economic <br /> Development and Industrial Corporation, and will continue with efforts to <br /> move the legislation forward. <br /> In response, the Selectmen discussed in detail, the position of Economic <br /> Development Coordinator with members of the Finance Committee. The <br /> Finance Committee unanimously approved the referenced position for an <br /> additional year. <br /> Being no further business,the Board motioned to adjourn. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Kathleen M. The members present Jeff Arnold, Carl Meredith, <br /> Jim Morgan,Kathy Lynch and Fred Blythe. <br /> • Motion was made by Jim Morgan, seconded by Fred Blythe to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 7:06 p.m. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0 <br />
