4
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
June 17, 2002
APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS:
R. Greg Taylor—Emergency Repair and Detour of Ouinaguisset Avenue:
Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was present to recommend the
Board approve an emergency repair and detour on Quinaquisset Avenue
due to a failed culvert that connects the cranberry bogs. The culvert is
failing, allowing the soil to shift below the road surface.
Willowbend has volunteered to assist the Town of Mashpee by
coordinating the final repair with the installation of pipes a few hundred
yards away. Willowbend has also offered to provide equipment and
material to complete the repair. A detour route along Sampson Mill Road
was considered on June 25 and 26, 2002.
Motion made by Selectman Green to authorize emergency road
repairs as described in the DPW Director's memorandum of June 6,
2002 amending the detour of traffic to Cape Drive in lieu of Sampsons
Mill Road.
Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters.
VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
R. Greg Taylor—Repair of Amy Brown Road:
The annual repair of Amy Brown Road was presented to the Selectmen for
approval. Residents of Amy Brown Road assume all costs associated to
the road repair. Last year the repairs amounted to$820. This years cost is
anticipated to be the same.
Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the repair of Amy
Brown Road as referenced.
Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters.
VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
•
