5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 17, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> R. Greg Taylor—State Request—Off Road Improvements: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Mass Highway Department <br /> (MED) dated June 10, 2002 regarding shoulder and sidewalk work along <br /> Rte 28, Mashpee. MassHighway has proposed to continue off-road <br /> operations maintaining,one lane of traffic in each direction. Verizon has <br /> also requested to be allowed to work off the road during the summer <br /> months utilizing the Traffic Management Plan included in the contract. <br /> There was no action. It was noted that the Board of Selectmen previously <br /> voted to deny this request. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Amendment#1 —Grant Consultant Services Contract: <br /> Amendment No. 1 to the contract Agreement between the Town of <br /> Mashpee and STG Consultant Services relative to the Town's FY 2000 <br /> Ready Resource Fund Grant was presented to the Selectmen for review <br /> and approval. <br /> The amendment extends the contract and increases the compensation as a <br /> result of the changed program activity and grant amendment. Services <br /> relate to the Industrial Park. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept Amendment No. 1 <br /> between the Town of Mashpee and STG Consultant Services for the <br /> FY 2000 Ready Resource Fund grant in the amount of$4,500. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
