9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 9, 2002 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Sign Request—School Events: <br /> Carol Mitchell was present on behalf of the KC Coombs School Parent <br /> Teacher Organization to request permission to erect a School Events sign <br /> at the intersection of Old Barnstable Road and Great Neck Road North. <br /> The sign, approximately 7' high would hold up to six plates that would <br /> display information for upcoming events such as dances, and school <br /> meetings. If approved, the sign would go before Design Review for final <br /> endorsement. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to support the PTO Sign at the <br /> intersection of Old Barnstable Road and Great Neck Road North. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> . Additional signage proposals for the Board's consideration included <br /> signage at the Rotary and at Town Hall to inform the community of <br /> various upcoming events. The Selectmen agreed to further consider the <br /> proposal in conjunction with the forthcoming Chamber of Commerce <br /> signage proposal in the area of Town Hall. Signage at the Rotary was not <br /> considered. <br /> Acceptance of Resignation—Conservation Commission: <br /> Correspondence was received from John Johansen dated August 28, 2002 <br /> requesting the Selectmen approve his resignation from the Conservation <br /> Commission immediately due to declining health. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to accept the resignation of John <br /> Johansen from the Conservation Commission with deep regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> • <br />
