The matter was deferred for additional language <br /> clarification. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Shellfish Constable/Harbormaster—Herring Discussion: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with Perry Ellis, Harbormaster and Richard <br /> York, Shellfish Constable for the purpose of reviewing the supervisory <br /> duties of Herring Warden until the job description related to the position <br /> has been approved at the October Town Meeting. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the Harbormaster and Shellfish <br /> Constable sharing the duties of the position. Revenues for herring permits <br /> for 2003 were disclosed. <br /> The matter was deferred to the next Selectmen's Meeting. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> School Budget: <br /> Patricia Parolski, Superintendent of Schools indicated that the School <br /> Committee voted at their February financial meeting to recommend a <br /> School budget of$17,200,000. <br /> The School Department recommendation was not presented as a written <br /> request to the Board of Selectmen. It was noted that the Town <br /> Administrator requested all Town departments to submit a level funded <br /> budget. Last year, the School Departments level funded budget was <br /> $16,784,751. The matter was taken under advisement. There wasno <br /> action. <br />
