TO Be* if the Town will vote to raise and - -_ appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of construct- ing a grade school and provide certain equipments, and -- - ; authorize -,and direct the Selectmen to accept in behalf of. - - - —' -- - _ the Town, for use in carrying out such projects, a Federal Grant of -.money pursuant to thePublim Works Admin- istration Appropriation act of 1938;and autherlmeia - - - -- --- - Building Committee to construct said project and contract — -- - — --- with r yWct thereto; and authorize. the Treasurer,with the - - the approval of the-Selectmen,to b6, --row such sums of money - - - - - - _ as may be necessary to meet any appropriation made and touse any.other available ,funds; that may-beraised by taxation - - or appropriation for that- purpose,or take any action relative - - - thereto. VOTED% For the purpose of constructing a grade school and the purchase of such equipment as may be possible within the funds available, all in accordance with r-- — plane submitted in application for a PWA grant, and to enable the town to secure - — the benefits of funds granted by the Federal Government under the Public Works- Administration Appropriation Act of 1938, there be raised and appropriated the sum of $47,272.00 and the treasurer, frith the approval of the selectmen, be and - hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $26,000 and to issue bonds or notes, of the town therefor, under authority of and in accordance with the provisions of — Chapter 50 of the Acts of 1938, said bonds or notes to be payable in not more —. than twenty years at such term and maximum rate of interest as may be fixed by the Emergency Finance Board. — - -- `- All moneys received by way of grant from the Federal Government on account of this project shall be applied first to meet the cost'of construction thereof and - -- any balance shall be applied to the payment of the loan herein authorized. — -- - - - - i` The selectmen are hereby authorized and directed to accept on behalf of the town, for use in carrying out such project, a Federal grant of money, pursuant �l to the Public Works Administration Appropriation Act of 19381 and the Building - Committee are authorized to proceed with the construction of said project and to _ - enter into all necessary and proper contracts and agreements in -respect thereto, - — " all subject to applicable Federal regulations) and the selectmen and the Building - - --� Committee are authorized to do all other acts -and things necessary or convenient for _ obtaining said grant, making said loan, and constructing said project. �.
