<br />TOWN WARRANT
<br />BARNSTABLE, SS. To either of the Constables of the
<br />Town of Mashpee, GREETING:
<br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,
<br />you are directed to notify and summons the inhabitants
<br />of the Town of Mashpee qualified to vote in elections
<br />to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the 7th day of
<br />March next at eight o'clock A. M. for the following pur-
<br />pose of acting on the articles contained in the follow- i
<br />ing Warrant; also to meet at the Town Hall on March
<br />8th at eight o'clock A. M. (the polls being open at that
<br />time, and may be closed at 12 o'clock noon), to bring
<br />their vote for the election of Town Officers all on one
<br />ballot, under the Australian System, as adopted by the
<br />Town.
<br />Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said
<br />meeting. Meeting called to order, by
<br />E. B. Amos, and 1 ballot cast'for
<br />E. B. Amos for Moderator.
<br />Meeting adjourned untill 9 a'clock
<br />Laurie Green appointed by Clerk
<br />to serve as Clerk and shorn in.
<br />Article 2. To choose all other necessary Town Offi-
<br />cers which are not elected under the Australian System.

<br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to instruct
<br />the Highway Surveyor and the Selectmen to co-operate
<br />and contract with the Department of Public Works,
<br />Division of Highways, for the general repairs of its roads
<br />under the provisions of Chapter 81,of the General Laws
<br />end to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,100 for same.

<br />Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />1the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen,
<br />to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of
<br />the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1,
<br />'1193f and to issue a note or notes therefor payable with-
<br />in one year, and to renew such note or notes as may be
<br />given for a period of less than one year in accordance
<br />with Section 17, Chapter 44, of the General Laws, any
<br />debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from
<br />the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1,
<br />1938.

<br />Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen
<br />Ito extend for a period or periods not exceeding in the,
<br />aggregate six months beyond the maximum term pro-
<br />vided by law, for an original loan, any loan issued in
<br />anticipation of the revenue of the year 1937 under the
<br />provisions of Chapter 25 of the Acts of 1938,y

<br />Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to establish'
<br />a Road Machinery Fund, to which shall be credited all
<br />receipts received for the use or rental of road machinery,
<br />P the proceeds to be appropriated as voted by the Town,
<br />for Road Machinery purposes, or take any action in re-$
<br />lation thereto
