<br />BARNSTABLE, SS. To either of the Constables of the
<br />Town of Mashpee, GREETING:
<br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachu-'
<br />setts you are directed to notify and summons the in-,
<br />habitants of the Town of Mashpee qualified to vote in
<br />elections to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the 6th
<br />day of March next at 9 o'clock A. M. for the following
<br />purpose, to act on the Articles contained in the follow-
<br />ing Warrant; also to meet at the Town Hall the same
<br />day, March 6th, (the polls being open at 1 o'clock P. M.,
<br />and may close at 5 o'clock P. M.), to bring in their vote I
<br />for the election of Town Officers all on one ballot'un-1

<br />tier the Australian System, as adopted by the Town.
<br />Article 1. To choose all other necessary Town Offi-
<br />cers which are not elected under the Australian Sys-
<br />tem.

<br />Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to instruct
<br />the Highway Surveyor and the Selectmen to co-operate
<br />and contract with the Department of Public Works,
<br />Division of Highways, for the general repairs of its roads
<br />'under the provisions of Chapter 81 of the General Laws
<br />and to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,100 for the
<br />same. 0
<br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Select-
<br />men, to borrow money from time to time in anticipa-
<br />tion of the revenue of the financial year beginning
<br />January 1, 1939, and to issue a note or notes therefor
<br />payable within one year, and to renew such note or notes
<br />as may be given for a period of less than one year in
<br />accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, of the General
<br />Laws, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be
<br />paid from the revenue of the financial year beginning
<br />January 1, 1939.

<br />Article 6. To see if the Town will authorize the
<br />Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen tol
<br />extend for a period or periods not exceeding in the ag-'
<br />gregate six months beyond the maximum term provided
<br />by law, for an original loan, any loan issued in anticipa-
<br />tion of the revenue of the year 1938 -under the provisions
<br />hof Chapter 25 of the Acts of. 1938.

<br />Article 7. To see if the Town 'will vote to

<br />receipts for the use or rental of -road machinery, the
<br />proceeds appropriated as voted by the Town, for Road
<br />Machinery purposes,, or take any action in relation

<br />Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to
<br />borrow money for ordinary maintenance expenses and
<br />revenue loans, in accordance with the provisions of
<br />Chapter 49 Acts of 1933 as amended or take any action

<br />Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to fix the sal-
<br />aries of all of the elective officers or take any other
<br />action in the matter. Moderator $25; Selectmen $400
<br />each; Treasurer $250; Town Clerk $100; Assessors,
<br />Chairman $450, other members $375 each; Tax Col-
<br />lector, 1% on the first 25% of the Warrant collected,
<br />2% on the next 25% of the Warrant collected, 3% on
<br />the balance of the Warrant collected; School Committee
