<br />TOWN MEETING WARRANT
<br />BARNSTABLE, SS. To either of the Constables of the
<br />Town of Mashpee, GREETINGS:
<br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachu-
<br />setts you are directed to notify and summons the in-
<br />habitants of the Town of Mashpee qualified to vote in
<br />elections to meet at the Town Hall on Monday the 3rd
<br />day of March next at eight o'clock A. M. for the follow-
<br />ing purposes. To act on the articles contained in the
<br />following warrant. Also to meet at the Town Hall on '
<br />March 3rd, the same day (the polls to be open from 1
<br />o'clock P. M. and may close at five o'clock P. M.) to bring
<br />in their votes for the election of the Town Officers all
<br />on one ballot, under the Australian Ballot System as
<br />adopted by the Town.
<br />Article 1. To choose all other necessary Town Offi-
<br />cers which are not elected under the Australian Ballot
<br />System.

<br />Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to accept the
<br />Town Officers' Reports.

<br />Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to instruct
<br />the Highway Surveyor and the Selectmen to co-operate
<br />and contract with the Public Works Division of High-
<br />ways for the general repairs of its roads under the pro-
<br />visions of Chapter 81, of the General Laws, and to raise
<br />and appropriate the sum of $1,950 for the* same.

<br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, 1
<br />to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of
<br />the revenue of the Financial Year, beginning in Janu-
<br />ary 1, 1941 and to issue a Note or Notes therefor pay-
<br />able in one year and to renew such notes or note that
<br />may be given for a period of one year or less.

<br />Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Town Treasurer with the. approval of the Selectmen
<br />to extend for a period, or periods not exceeding or in
<br />aggregate six months beyond the maximum term pro-
<br />vided by law, any debt or debts incurred under this vote
<br />to be paid from the revenue of the Financial Year be-
<br />ginning January 1, 1941 under the provisions of Chap- ,
<br />ter 25 of the Acts of 1938.

<br />Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to continue
<br />the Road Machinery Fund, which shall be credited all
<br />receipts for the use and rental of the Road Machinery
<br />Fund of Mashpee. The proceeds appropriated as voted
<br />by the Town, for Road Machinery purposes, or take any
<br />action in relation thereto.

<br />Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize
<br />the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to bor-
<br />row money for ordinary maintenance expenses and
<br />revenue loans, in accordance with the provisions of
<br />Chapter 49 Acts of 1933, as amended or take any other
<br />action thereon.

<br />Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to fix the
<br />_ salaries of the elected officers or take any other action
<br />thereon.
<br />Moderator, $25; Selectmen, $500; Treasurer, $250;
<br />Town Clerk, $100; Assessor Chairman, $450; Assessors,
<br />$375 each; Tax Collector, 1% on the first 25% of the
<br />Warrant collected, 2% on the next 25% of the Warrant
<br />collected, 3% on the balance of the Warrant collected;
<br />School committee, $15 each.

<br />the Selectmen to appoint a Dog Officer and raise and
<br />appropriate a sum of money for the same, namely $25
<br />yearly and $5.00 for expenses.

<br />the Treasurer with the approval of the Mashpee Ad-
<br />visory Commission to sell at Public Auction any parcel
<br />of Real Estate, the Tax Title of which has been fore-
<br />closed by the Town, also as a part of the article the Town
<br />retains rights to refuse any or all bids.
