202 TOWN MEETING WARRANT Monday, March 5, 1945,1 BARNSTABLE, SS. To either of the Constables of the Town of Mashpee, GREETINGS: rn the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are directed to notify and summons the'inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee qualified to vote in elections to meet at the Town Hall, Mashpee, on Monday the fifth day of March next at nine o'clock A. M. for the fol- lowing purposes. To act on the articles contained in the lowing warrant; also to meet at the Town Hail March fifth, the same day (the polls to be open from one o'clock P. M. and may close at five o'clock P. M.) to bring in their votes for the Election of the Town Officers all on one ballot, under the Australian Ballot System as , adopted by the Town, 'Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen or their successors in office be, and they are hereby authorized, with the approval of the Mashpee Advisory Commission to sell at public or private sale any or all of the real estate now owned or hereafter acquired by the Town through any type of proceedings for the foreclosures of tax titles, to impose reservations, restric- tions or easements therein or thereon, and to execute in the name and behalf of the Town and under its sea.1 quit claim deeds or other instruments therefor, or take any ether action thereon. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Highway Surveyor and the Selectmen to co-operate and contract mith the Public Works Division of Highways for the general repairs of its roads under the provisions of Chapter 81, of the General Laws, and to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $2,167.00 for the same. To see if the Town will vote to authorize thr Ti- • Treasurer, with •the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue oftheFinancial Year, beginning on Janu- ary 1, 1945 and to issue a note or notes therefore payable in one year and to renew such notes or note that may be given for a period of one year or less. Approved. 27 Voted. Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Mashpee Advis- pry Commission to assign any tax title held by the Town. .Approved.. Voted Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to continue the Road Machinery fund to which shall be credited all receipts for the use and rental of the Road Machinery of Mashpee. The proceeds appropriated as voted by the Town, for road machinery purposes, or take any other action thereon. Approved. Voted Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to give the Surveyor of Highways of the Town full and complete con- trol and supervision of all works on the highways of the Town of Mashpee whether the same be general repairs or special work or construction and give him full control and charge of any and all road working machinery owned by the Town, or take any other action thereon. Approved. Voted Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds in the . treasury, a sum of money for the purchase of war bonds or other bonds that are legal investments for savings banks in order to establish a post-war rehabilitation fund, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5, i Acts of 1943. 05000. b taken from Surplus Revenue 1 to buy War Bonds. Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $600.00 for gypsy moth, brown tail and tent caterpillars required by Chapter 132, Sec.' 14 of, the General Laws.
