To either of the Constables of the <br />Town of Mashpee, GREETINGS: <br />rn the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts <br />you are directed to notify and summons the'inhabitants <br />of the Town of Mashpee qualified to vote in elections to <br />meet at the Town Hall, Mashpee, on Monday the fifth <br />day of March next at nine o'clock A. M. for the fol- <br />lowing purposes. To act on the articles contained in the <br />lowing warrant; also to meet at the Town Hail March <br />fifth, the same day (the polls to be open from one <br />o'clock P. M. and may close at five o'clock P. M.) to bring <br />in their votes for the Election of the Town Officers all <br />on one ballot, under the Australian Ballot System as , <br />adopted by the Town, <br />'Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to authorize <br />the Selectmen or their successors in office be, and they <br />are hereby authorized, with the approval of the Mashpee <br />Advisory Commission to sell at public or private sale any <br />or all of the real estate now owned or hereafter acquired <br />by the Town through any type of proceedings for the <br />foreclosures of tax titles, to impose reservations, restric- <br />tions or easements therein or thereon, and to execute in <br />the name and behalf of the Town and under its sea.1 quit <br />claim deeds or other instruments therefor, or take any <br />ether action thereon. <br />Approved.' Voted <br />Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to instruct <br />the Highway Surveyor and the Selectmen to co-operate <br />and contract mith the Public Works Division of Highways <br />for the general repairs of its roads under the provisions <br />of Chapter 81, of the General Laws, and to raise and ap- <br />propriate the sum of $2,167.00 for the same. <br />Approved. To see if the Town will vote to authorize <br />thr Ti- • Treasurer, with •the approval of the Selectmen, <br />to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of <br />the revenue oftheFinancial Year, beginning on Janu- <br />ary 1, 1945 and to issue a note or notes therefore payable <br />in one year and to renew such notes or note that may be <br />given for a period of one year or less. <br />Approved. 27 Voted. <br />Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize <br />the Treasurer with the approval of the Mashpee Advis- <br />pry Commission to assign any tax title held by the Town. <br />.Approved.. Voted <br />Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to continue <br />the Road Machinery fund to which shall be credited all <br />receipts for the use and rental of the Road Machinery <br />of Mashpee. The proceeds appropriated as voted by the <br />Town, for road machinery purposes, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />Approved. Voted <br />Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to give the <br />Surveyor of Highways of the Town full and complete con- <br />trol and supervision of all works on the highways of the <br />Town of Mashpee whether the same be general repairs <br />or special work or construction and give him full control <br />and charge of any and all road working machinery owned <br />by the Town, or take any other action thereon. <br />Approved. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate or transfer from available funds in the . <br />treasury, a sum of money for the purchase of war bonds <br />or other bonds that are legal investments for savings <br />banks in order to establish a post-war rehabilitation <br />fund, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5, <br />i Acts of 1943. <br />05000. <br />b taken from Surplus Revenue <br />1 to buy War Bonds. <br />Article 12.
