Treasurer's Expense 41.73, -Removal of Ice and Snow $76.38, General Highways*chapter 81 ;'824.82, Old age rsssistance 81354.59 or take an$ other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and Appropriate the follwwinR sums 411.73 for Treasurer's expense and 476.38 for Removal of Ice and Snow; and to Ap ropriate from unappropriated available funds in the Treasury the sums of E4.82 for general Highways - Chapter 81 and ya354,59 for Old Ago-Asaistanoe. 31 in favor none opposed Article 44. To see if the Town willvote to appropriate from available funds the sum of 625.00 for the purpose of protecting the Town's interest in the continuance of railroad transpotation facilities and to appoint a committee of no less than three members with authority to approve the disbursement of such funds,said committee to be appointed by the moderator or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept this article as read. The Moderator then appointed the board of Selectmen as the committee. An unanimous vote. Article45 to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum o of 4117.00, the sum due for the 1949 assessment for Barnstable County Retirement Association the Town's part for administrative purposes, or Take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and appropriate the sum of 4117.00 -for the Barnstable County Retirement. Association the Tovm's'Part for administrative purposes. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and appropriate 4813.44 for unpaid bills of 1948. An unanimous vote 43 for i0 # none against Article 47. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of6600.00 for an oil heater and further remod6l the Town Barn, or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion dulymade and seconded it was voted to raise and appropriate the sum of 600.00 for the pudchase of an oil heater and to further remodel the Town Barn. 36 in favor none against Article 48 To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of 478.00 from the appropriation of bhe New Town Barn Land Account of 1947 to the Fire Station Account, or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to transfer the sum of $78.00 from the New Town Barn Land Account of 1947 for Fuel 011 for the New Town Barn. An unanimous vote Article 49. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate they sum of $1000.00 to lay out, repair and maintain roads accepted by the Town, or take any other action thereon. Action Upon motion duly made and seconded it we voted to accept this article as read. An unanimous vote Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen tb appoint a Veterans Service Agent and to fix the salary at 4500.00 annually, and raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the same, or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to authorize the Selectmen to appoint a Veterans Service Agent and to raise and appropriate the sum of 4500.00 for yearly salary.
