To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the <br />Folliawing sums for overdrawn accounts of 1948. <br />Treasurer's Expense 41.73, -Removal of Ice and Snow $76.38, General <br />Highways*chapter 81 ;'824.82, Old age rsssistance 81354.59 or take an$ <br />other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and <br />Appropriate the follwwinR sums 411.73 for Treasurer's expense and <br />476.38 for Removal of Ice and Snow; and to Ap ropriate from unappropriated <br />available funds in the Treasury the sums of E4.82 for general Highways - <br />Chapter 81 and ya354,59 for Old Ago-Asaistanoe. <br />31 in favor none opposed <br />Article 44. To see if the Town willvote to appropriate from available <br />funds the sum of 625.00 for the purpose of protecting the Town's interest <br />in the continuance of railroad transpotation facilities and to appoint a <br />committee of no less than three members with authority to approve the <br />disbursement of such funds,said committee to be appointed by the moderator <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept this <br />article as read. The Moderator then appointed the board of Selectmen as <br />the committee. <br />An unanimous vote. <br />Article45 to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum o <br />of 4117.00, the sum due for the 1949 assessment for Barnstable County <br />Retirement Association the Town's part for administrative purposes, or <br />Take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and <br />appropriate the sum of 4117.00 -for the Barnstable County Retirement. <br />Association the Tovm's'Part for administrative purposes. <br />An unanimous vote <br />Article 46. To see if the Tovm will vote to raise and appropriate the. <br />following sums of money for unpaid bills of 1948:; <br />Town Hall 4298.32 <br />Welfare 88.00 <br />Shhool 312.36 <br />Barnstable County Ret, Assn. 105,64 <br />Police & 9,12 <br />5P813.44 <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and <br />appropriate 4813.44 for unpaid bills of 1948. <br />An unanimous vote 43 for i0 # none against <br />Article 47. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the <br />sum of6600.00 for an oil heater and further remod6l the Town Barn, or <br />take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion dulymade and seconded it was voted to raise and <br />appropriate the sum of 600.00 for the pudchase of an oil heater and to <br />further remodel the Town Barn. <br />36 in favor none against <br />Article 48 To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of 478.00 <br />from the appropriation of bhe New Town Barn Land Account of 1947 to the <br />Fire Station Account, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to transfer the <br />sum of $78.00 from the New Town Barn Land Account of 1947 for Fuel 011 <br />for the New Town Barn. <br />An unanimous vote <br />Article 49. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate they <br />sum of $1000.00 to lay out, repair and maintain roads accepted by the <br />Town, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action Upon motion duly made and seconded it we voted to accept this <br />article as read. <br />An unanimous vote <br />Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen tb <br />appoint a Veterans Service Agent and to fix the salary at 4500.00 <br />annually, and raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the same, or <br />take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to authorize the <br />Selectmen to appoint a Veterans Service Agent and to raise and appropriate <br />the sum of 4500.00 for yearly salary. <br />An unanimous vote <br />
