Avant Town Clerk Mashpee, Massachusetts Dear Madam: At a meeting of the Mashpee Advisory Commission held at the State House on Friday, May 26, 1950, at which meeting the appropriations of the special town meeting held May 22, 1950 were considered, the approvals of which are required by this commission under the provisions of Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1949s it was voted with reference to the several articles as follows: Article 1: The commission voted to disapprove the the appropriation of D,000, to build a new fire truck. The commission feels that this appropriation should be considered at an annual meeting and be discussed with the commission concerning the necessity of a fire truck. Article 2: The appropriation for $50.00 for the town barn account is hereby disapproved by vote of the commission as the commission feels that at this time it is not feasible to build the partition. Article 3: The commission voted to approve the additional appropriation of $12800. to the Veterans ' Services Account from Available Surplus. Article 4: Chapter 529 of the Acts of 1949 provides that cities and towns shall appoint an inspector of wires, therefore it was voted by the commission to approve the sum of IZ0* for salary of wire inspector, said appropriation in the amount of X250, is to be transferred from Available Surplus. Article 5: In the commission►s opinion the appropriation for 000. for legal expenses incurred in the purchase of the Winn Property on Mashpee Lake is excessive, therefore the commission voted to approve the sum of $60.00 of which $50.00 is for searching and transferring title, and 410.00 for recording fees. The sum of $60.0o for legal expenses is hereby approved from Available Surplus.
