Avant <br /> Town Clerk <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Madam: <br /> At a meeting of the Mashpee Advisory Commission held <br /> at the State House on Friday, May 26, 1950, at which meeting <br /> the appropriations of the special town meeting held May 22, 1950 <br /> were considered, the approvals of which are required by this <br /> commission under the provisions of Chapter 207 of the Acts of <br /> 1949s it was voted with reference to the several articles as <br /> follows: <br /> Article 1: The commission voted to disapprove the <br /> the appropriation of D,000, to build a new fire truck. <br /> The commission feels that this appropriation should be <br /> considered at an annual meeting and be discussed with <br /> the commission concerning the necessity of a fire truck. <br /> Article 2: The appropriation for $50.00 for the town <br /> barn account is hereby disapproved by vote of the commission <br /> as the commission feels that at this time it is not feasible <br /> to build the partition. <br /> Article 3: The commission voted to approve the <br /> additional appropriation of $12800. to the Veterans ' Services <br /> Account from Available Surplus. <br /> Article 4: Chapter 529 of the Acts of 1949 provides <br /> that cities and towns shall appoint an inspector of wires, <br /> therefore it was voted by the commission to approve the sum <br /> of IZ0* for salary of wire inspector, said appropriation in <br /> the amount of X250, is to be transferred from Available Surplus. <br /> Article 5: In the commission►s opinion the appropriation <br /> for 000. for legal expenses incurred in the purchase of the <br /> Winn Property on Mashpee Lake is excessive, therefore the <br /> commission voted to approve the sum of $60.00 of which $50.00 <br /> is for searching and transferring title, and 410.00 for recording <br /> fees. The sum of $60.0o for legal expenses is hereby approved <br /> from Available Surplus. <br />
