To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee GREETINGS: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directec to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are quali"r fied to vote in the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the 6th of March 1072, at eleven o'clock p.m. for the following purposes: Tellers: Mrs;r Mary. Potter Miss Eleanor Peters More than enough voters were present to constitute a quorum. Attendance - 126. Prayer was offered by former Selectman Mr. Leroy Aiken. To act on the articles contained in the following warrant. To meet at the Town Hall the following Wednesday, March 8, 1"972 to bring in their votes for the election of the following Officers: One Selectman for three years. OM Assessor member for three years. One Town Clerk for three years. One Board of Health member for three years. One Board of Health member for two unexpired term. One Planning Board member for five years. One School Committee member for three years. One Cemetery Commissioner for three years. One Library Trustee for three years. One Park and Recreation member for three years. One Highway Surveyor for three years. One Tree Warden for three years. The polls will be open at 12 o'clock noon and may be closed at 7:30 p.m. Article 1. To choose all necessary town officials who are not elected under the Australian Ballot System: Burial Agent Herring Warden Harbor Master Finance Committee Members-33for 3 years. Action: Voted unanimously the following: Burial Agent -Leigh Potter Herring Warden -Warren Hicks Harbor Master -Gordon Crowell Finance Committee Members -3 for 3 years: Charles H. Lawrence -131 Chester A. Garland -120 Thomas Gillis -116 Article 2. To see if the Town will -vote to accept the Town Officers' Reports or take:iany other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded we accept Town Reports. Article 3. To see if the Town will hear and act upon the reports of any Committee for any purpose the Town may deem advisable. Action: Mr. H. C. Lehman spoke about the Senior Citizens. Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer, with .the"approval of the Selectman, to borrow money in anticipation of the revenue for the financial years beginning January 1, 1972, and January 1,1973 in accordance with provisions of General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 4, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 17.
