Special Town Meeting July 12, 1972 239 <br />-2_ <br />Article g To sg ff the Town will vote ho r i Ind a pro riate <br />or take from availafle funds the sum of $5,60�.��or tl�e p rchase and <br />installation of a new boiler for the Samuel G. Davis School or take <br />any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded.to raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $8,600.00. A.unanimous vote. <br />Article 9. To see if the Town will -vote to increase the <br />Treasurer's salary from $1$3.75 monthly to $267.00 monthly or take <br />any other action thereon <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article <br />as read. 51 for -1$ opposed. The vote carried. <br />Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from <br />the Collector -Treasurer Wage Account the sum of $590.00 to the <br />Treasurer's Salary Account to cover the authorized increase in <br />the Treasurer's salary for the period begining June 1st to December <br />31, 1972, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded to accept article as read. <br />Vote passed. <br />Article 11. To see if the <br />Collector's salary from $2'x5.66 <br />any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion duly made <br />read. 41 for - 29 opposed. Vote <br />Town will vote to increase the Tax <br />per month to $316.33 per month or take <br />and seconded to accept article as <br />carried. <br />Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the <br />Collector -Treasurer Wage Account the sum of $295.00 to the Tax <br />Collector's Salary Account to cover authorized salary increase from <br />June 1 to December 31,1972, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Moti-,n duly made and seconded to accept article as <br />read. Vote carried. <br />Article 13• To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />the following sums of money for unpaid bills, or take any other <br />action thereon: <br />Franklin & Perkins <br />Town Hall Maintenance $13.00 <br />John S. Cheever Co. <br />Fire Dept. 23.25 <br />Suburban Gas Co. <br />Highway Dept. 115.07 <br />Rusty's Inc. <br />Town Hall Maintenance 27.51 <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded to raise arnd'•'appropriate <br />the sums. A unanimous vote. <br />Article 14• To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen <br />to lease forty (40) acres of town -owned land lyi ng adjacent to <br />and southwest of the Town Hall and Ball Field to.the Barnstable County <br />Agricultural Society, In.c., for a ten (10) year period, said term <br />commencing as soon+ as possible forthe consideration of five hundred <br />dollars (500.00) annually. <br />Action:. Motion duly made and seconded to''.accept article as <br />read. 47 for - 2$ opposed. Vote carried. <br />Article 15• To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter _ <br />Article �,_ Building Code regulations by adding to Section 1: -Par. <br />5 the following: <br />e. "Ten inch thick poured concrete wall shallnot require <br />a footing, except. on filled land, where an eight inch thick and <br />eighteen inch wide footing shall be required." <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded to amend the article to <br />read: <br />e. "Ten inch thick poured concrete wall shall not recuire a <br />footing, except on filled land, where on eight inch thick and <br />eighteen grinch wide footing shall be required consisting of a one-two <br />and a half mixture of washed materials." <br />Motion duly made and seconded to accept article as amended. <br />A. unanimous vote. <br />
