283 <br />M <br />103rd. ANNUAL TOWN MEETIN WARRANT (contd) <br />ARTICLE 18. To see if the Town will vote to establish a Water Commission <br />composed of not less than eight members, appointed by the Selectmen, <br />to study the feasibility, design, construction, and operation of a <br />municipal water supply system and to report to the Town its findings <br />within eighteen months. Submitted by Planning Board. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded Article 18 be accepted as read. So <br />Voted. <br />ARTICLE 19. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Planning <br />Board to appoint a consulting engineer with the approval of the Personnel <br />Board._ Submitted by Planning Board. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 19 to read: To see <br />if the Town will vote to authorize the Planning Board to appoint a <br />consulting engineer in accordance with 70 Salary Administration Plan. <br />So Voted, as amended. <br />ARTICLE 20. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the <br />sum of $5,120 to pay said consulting engineer. Submitted by Planning <br />Board. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded amount of $5,120 be raised and <br />appropriated. So Voted. <br />ARTICLE 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or <br />to take from available funds the sum of $250 for the 1974-75 fiscal <br />year to cover clerical and office expenses of the above noted commis- <br />sion. Submitted by Planning Board. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to raise and appropriate $250.00. So <br />Voted. <br />ARTICLE 22. To see if the Town of Mashpee.will vote to raise and <br />appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $3,000 as provided <br />in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 5, Clause 39, to <br />help defray expenses in providing facilities for training, rehabili- <br />tation and employment:of mentally retarded and handicapped residents <br />of the Town of Mashpee, employed at Vocational Service Center of Cape <br />Cod, Inc., Barnstable, Massachusetts or to do anything in relation <br />thereto; said funds to be spent under the direction of the Selectmen. <br />Submitted by Vocational Service Center of Cape Cod, Inc. <br />ACTION: Motion moved and seconded Article 22 to be tabled. So Voted. <br />ARTICLE 23. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate or take <br />from available funds the sum of $1,053 covering the cost of assessment <br />for services rendered to citizens of the Town by the Cape Cod Mental <br />Health Association for a tvelve month period or take any other action <br />thereon. Submitted by Cape Cod Mental Health Association. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of <br />1,053. SO VOTED for sum of $1,053.00. . <br />ARTICLE 24. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of <br />$18,640 from the proceeds received from the State under the provisions <br />'of Section 22, Chapter 1140, Acts of 1973, for the construction of <br />South Sandwich Road and Old Barnstable Road and any other work permitted <br />under the provisions of said act on such roads within the Town as may be <br />approved by the Board of Selectmen and the Massachusetts Department <br />of Public Works and act Fully thereon. Submitted by Highway Department. <br />ACTION: Motion made and Seconded to amend article to read: To see <br />if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of $18,640 from the proceeds <br />received from the State under the provisions of Section 20, Chapter 1140, <br />Acts of 1973, for the construction of Great Neck Road and any other <br />work permitted under the provisions of said act on such roads within <br />the Town as may be approved by the Board of Selectmen and the Mass- <br />achusetts Dept. of Public Works, and act fully thereon. Submitted by <br />Highway Dept. Motion made and seconded to accept article as amended. <br />So Voted. <br />
