(contd) Flat Pond, Flashy Pond, Hamblin Pond, Jehu Pond, Jim Pond, Johns Pond, Martha Pond, Mashpee-Wakeby Pond, Old Barnstable Road Pond (also known as Lakeside Trailer Pond), Pine Tree Corner Pond (also known as Mashpee Circle Pond), Moody Pond, Sagelot Pond, Santuit Pond, and Tim Pond (also known as Cataquin Pond.) ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 65 be accepted as submitted. So Voted. ARTICLE 66. To see if the Town will vote to abandon the following roads: or ancient ways, so called; that portion of Simons Narrows Road which beins on the southerly side of Route 2$ and runs southerly and south- easterly over lands now or formerly of J.R.U. Realty, Inc., over the Cape and Vineyard Right of Way, across portions of land shown on "plan of Land in East Mashpee, MA., Cotuit Corners. Late: Dec., 4, 1970, Charles N. Savery Inc., Registered Engineers Surveyors" to the northerly line of Quinaquisset Avenue; also that portion of Wickams Road, so called, which runs northeasterly from siad Simons Narrows Road and at the intersection of Brewster Road and Chatham Road, all as shown on said plan referred to as "Cotuit Corners" to a point on the Westerly line of Strawberry Lane or take any other action thereon. Submitted by John R. Umina, et als. ACTION: Moved and seconded to table. So Voted. ARTICLE 67. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $15,000 to be placed in the Conservation Fund to be used for land acquisition, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Conservation Commission. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $5,000 Unanimously voted. (Amended for $5,000.) ARTICLE 6$. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $1,110 to be used as an expense account by the Waterways Committee or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate $1,110. Unanimously voted. ARTICLE 69. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $675 to be used by the Waterways Committee for the placement and removal and renewal of all buoys, signs, channel and damage area markers and maintenance of some in the coastal waters and inland ponds of the Township, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $675. Unanimously voted. ARTICLE 70. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $1,750 for biological and chemical testing of Mashpee-P;akeby, Santuit, Johns and Ashumet Ponds during the fiscal year of 1974 or take any other action thereon. Sub- mitted by Board of Health. ACTION: Moved and seconded to table. So Voted. ARTICLE 71. To see if the Town will vote to prohibit the use of boats with engines in excess of forty-five horse power on John's Pond and Ashumet Pond. Any violation of this by-law shall be punishable by a fine df up to $50.00. Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 71 be accepted as written. So voted. $9 for 36 opposed -------Vote is carried.
