(contd) <br />Flat Pond, Flashy Pond, Hamblin Pond, Jehu Pond, Jim Pond, Johns Pond, <br />Martha Pond, Mashpee-Wakeby Pond, Old Barnstable Road Pond (also known <br />as Lakeside Trailer Pond), Pine Tree Corner Pond (also known as Mashpee <br />Circle Pond), Moody Pond, Sagelot Pond, Santuit Pond, and Tim Pond <br />(also known as Cataquin Pond.) <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 65 be accepted as submitted. <br />So Voted. <br />ARTICLE 66. To see if the Town will vote to abandon the following roads: <br />or ancient ways, so called; that portion of Simons Narrows Road which <br />beins on the southerly side of Route 2$ and runs southerly and south- <br />easterly over lands now or formerly of J.R.U. Realty, Inc., over the <br />Cape and Vineyard Right of Way, across portions of land shown on "plan <br />of Land in East Mashpee, MA., Cotuit Corners. Late: Dec., 4, 1970, <br />Charles N. Savery Inc., Registered Engineers Surveyors" to the northerly <br />line of Quinaquisset Avenue; also that portion of Wickams Road, so <br />called, which runs northeasterly from siad Simons Narrows Road and <br />at the intersection of Brewster Road and Chatham Road, all as shown <br />on said plan referred to as "Cotuit Corners" to a point on the Westerly <br />line of Strawberry Lane or take any other action thereon. Submitted <br />by John R. Umina, et als. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to table. So Voted. <br />ARTICLE 67. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $15,000 to be placed in the Conservation Fund to be used <br />for land acquisition, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by <br />Conservation Commission. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $5,000 <br />Unanimously voted. (Amended for $5,000.) <br />ARTICLE 6$. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />or take from available funds the sum of $1,110 to be used as an expense <br />account by the Waterways Committee or take any other action thereon. <br />Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate $1,110. Unanimously <br />voted. <br />ARTICLE 69. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />or take from available funds the sum of $675 to be used by the Waterways <br />Committee for the placement and removal and renewal of all buoys, <br />signs, channel and damage area markers and maintenance of some in <br />the coastal waters and inland ponds of the Township, or take any other <br />action thereon. Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $675. <br />Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 70. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />or take from available funds the sum of $1,750 for biological and <br />chemical testing of Mashpee-P;akeby, Santuit, Johns and Ashumet Ponds <br />during the fiscal year of 1974 or take any other action thereon. Sub- <br />mitted by Board of Health. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to table. So Voted. <br />ARTICLE 71. To see if the Town will vote to prohibit the use of boats <br />with engines in excess of forty-five horse power on John's Pond and <br />Ashumet Pond. Any violation of this by-law shall be punishable by a fine <br />df up to $50.00. Submitted by Mashpee Waterways Committee. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 71 be accepted as written. <br />So voted. $9 for <br />36 opposed -------Vote is carried. <br />
