-17- 103rd ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT 303 ARTICLE 72. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $2,100 to commence the development of the engineering plan for the installation of a Town Landing on the Southwest shores of Ockway Bay as recommended in the determination of Article 19 in the Town Warrant of July 12, 1974. The required first stage of development being the required gracing for, and installation of a concrete slipway. Submitted by Town Landing Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to take from available funds $2,100. (The year amended to read 1973. So voted. AT THIS TIME, RANDOLPH PETERS --SELECTMEN ANNOUNCED: Frank E. Flicks --Chairman Kevin O'Connell --Assistant Chairman Randolph Peters --Clerk ARTICLE 73. To see if the Town will accept Section 61 of Chapter 40 of the General Laws, inserted by St. 1961, c 381, which provides, so far as it affects town, as follows: "...a town which accepts (this section): at an annual town meeting, may construct, resurface and repair any private way which has been used by the public for fifty years or more: provided that all the owners of land abutting on any such way petition such town to do such work." Submitted by Taxpayers of Mashpee. ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 73 be accepted as read. 100 for 45 opposed ---Motion Carried. ARTICLE 74. To see if the Town will vote to increase the mileage rate from 10 cents a mile to 15 cents a mile or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. ACTION: P1iotion made and seconded to ament article to read 1112 cents a mile." So voted. ARTICLE 75. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the following amounts for overdrawn appropriations and unpaid bills. Interest on Temporary Loans $624.38 Park &. Recreation Wages 08 State Chemical Manufacturing Co. 147.48 (Cemetery Dept.) Submitted by Town Accountant. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to add Police Chief's Salary of $920, and to raise and appropriate the total amount of $1,691.94. Unanimously voted. ARTICLE 76. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to con- tract with the New Bedford Gas & Edison Light Co. to install and main- tain the following street lights (standard lumens) 1 light corner Lowell Road and Webquish "ane Pole #3 1 light corner Mashpee Neck Road and Compass Drive Pole #0 1 light corner Mashpee Neck Road and Ships Wheel Drive, Pole #8 3 lights Route 28, Mashpee Poles 225/3, 225/4, 225/5 1 light Route 130 Pole #20 2 lights Great Deck Road Pole #97 & Pole #101 Requested by residents. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 76 as CORRECTED. Compass Drive was changed to Ships Wheel Drive Ships Wheel Drive was changed to Port Hole Drive ARTICLE 77. To see if the Town will vote to authorize and empower its selectmen to appoint an executive secretary pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 23A, or take any other action with respect to such a position.
