2 65' <br />Special Town Meeting -3- January 16, 1974 <br />ARTICLE 14. To see if the Town will vote to take from available <br />funds the sum of $300.00 to be used for individual clothing for two <br />appointees, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to take from available funds <br />the sum of $300.00. The motion passed. <br />ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br />the sum of $400.00 to be used for equipment for two appointees, or <br />take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to take from available funds <br />the sum of $400.00. Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 16. To see if the Town will vote to take' from available funds <br />a sum to be appropriated at the Special Town Meeting to provide an <br />additional police cruiser, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to insert the sum of $3,$84.00 <br />and to take said amount from available funds. Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 17. To see if the Town will vote to take from available <br />funds a sum to be appropriated at the Special Town Meeting to provide <br />a two -channel mobile radio and emergency equipment for the police <br />cruiser, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to insert the sum of $770.00 <br />and to take said amount from available funds. Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 18. To see if the Town will vote the sum to be appropriated <br />at Special Town Meeting to provide for a burglar alarm system to be <br />installed in the Highway Department, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to insert the sum of $895.00 <br />'and to take said amount from available funds. Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 19. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Highway <br />Department to hire a clerk on a five-day week basis, the wage to be <br />left to the discretion of the Personnel Board, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to hire a clerk on a five-day <br />week basis. Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 20. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from available <br />funds the sum of $2,000.00 to be transferred to the Highway Wage <br />Account for wages for the Highway Department Clerk, or take any <br />other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to transfer the sum of $2,000.00 <br />to the Highway Wage Account. The motion passed. <br />ARTICLE 21. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from <br />available funds the sum of $5,000.00 to be transferred to the Highway <br />' Expense Account, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to transfer the sum of <br />$5,000.00 to the Highway Expense Account. The motion passed. <br />ARTICLE 22. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from available <br />funds the sum of $2,500.00 to be transferred to the Highway Wage <br />Account for emergencies, or take any other action thereon. <br />'. ACTION: Notion duly made and seconded to table Article 22. The <br />motion passed. <br />ARTICLE 23. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available <br />funds the following sums of money for unpaid 'bills: <br />Henry C. Labute <br />CemeterVyExpense $148.23 <br />Town Hall Maintenance 189.41 <br />Fire Department 32.07 <br />Highway Department 57.94 <br />$427.65 <br />
