3®9 WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING Town of Mashpee June 24, 1974 Barnstable ss: To the.Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: ' In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet at Town Hall on Monday, June 24, 1974, at 7:30 P.M. to act on the articles contained in the following warrant: A quorum present, Moderator Peter M. Lawrence, called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. Tellers: Eleanor Peters, Mary Potter. ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $1,600 to be applied to the Selectmen's Advertising Account for the balance of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1974, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. Recommended to transfer $1,600 from available funds. ACTION: Moved and seconded to transfer from available funds $1,600. So voted. ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $3,500 to be applied to the Selectmen's Legal and Engineering Account for the balance of the fiscalyear ending June 30, 1974, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. Recommend6d to transfer $3,500._from available funds. ACTION: Moved and seconded to trqnsfer from available funds $3,500. So voted. ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $1,000.00 to be applied to the Town Hall Maintenance Account for the balance of the fiscal year "ending June 30, 1974, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. Recommended to transfer $1,000 from available funds. ACTION: Moved and seconded to transfer from available funds the sum of $1,000. Motion carrie ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the interest on the Revenue Sharing Account in the amount of $2,043.00 to install sanitary facilities for the Avant Museum. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. Not Recommended as there is $2,637.53 available in the Avant House Restoration Account that can be used for this purpose. ACTION:Moved and seconded that Article 4 be tabled. Motion carried. ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to petition the Department of Natural Resources; Division of Marine Fisheries, under the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 130, Section 94, for the right to control and regulate the taking of herring. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 5 be accepted as read. Motion carried. ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the Road Machinery Fund to a Road Machinery Account the sum of $3,000 (three thousand dollars), these monies to be used for payment of repair work done on A/C 840 Loader or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Highway Department. Recommended with an amendment. ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 6 be accepted as read. Motion carried.
