329 <br />Continued Page 12 May 12, 1975 <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to amend Article 49 to read: To see <br />if the Town will vote to transfer $3,508.11 from the interest on the Revenue Sharing <br />Fund and to take from available funds the sum of $3,567.89 for the conversion to <br />"Data Processing" the Assessors' records for the billing of real estate and personal <br />property tax list, or take any other action thereon. Motion duly made and seconded <br />to accept Article 49 as amended. A vote. <br />Article 50: To see if the Town would declare Monomoscoy Island a "Wildlife <br />Sanctuary" or take any other action thereon. <br />' ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 50 as read. So voted. <br />Article 51: To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to convey <br />to the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council, Inc., for the consideration of not <br />more than $500.00, the land in South Mashpee as shown on the Assessors' Map 95-7 <br />and more fully described at the Barnstable Registry of Deeds - Book 495-96. This <br />Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council will use this as "common land" for Tribal <br />purposes. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 51 as follows: To move <br />that the Town vote to authorize the Selectmen to convey to the Mashpee Wampanoag <br />Indian Tribal Council, Inc., for the consideration of $500.00, the land in South <br />Mashpee as shown on the Assessors' Map 95-7 and more fully described at the <br />Barnstable Registry of Deeds Book 495 Page 96. This Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal <br />Council would use this as "common land" for Tribal purposes. The Tribal Council will <br />agree to a Covenant which would prohibit the sale or subdivision of this property. <br />The deed shall contain a reverter clause providing that title to this land shall <br />revert to the Town in the event of disillusion of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal <br />Council, Inc. Motion made and seconded to accept Article 51 as amended. A <br />unanimous vote - 283 for; none opposed. <br />Article 52: To see if the Town will vote to raise or appropriate, or take any <br />other action thereon, the sum of $600.00 (six hundred) to install a deep well and <br />pump for water on Town of Mashpee owned property, namely Attaquin Park. This system <br />' will provide drinking water for any and all approved activities in this Park area. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to take from available funds the sum <br />of $600.00 (six hundred). A unanimous vote. <br />Article 53: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the sum <br />of $2,000.00 to be used by the Bicentennial Commission of the Toon of Mashpee for <br />expenses for the year 1975-1976. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 53 as read. A <br />unanimous vote. <br />Article 54: To see if the Town will vote to establish the position of a <br />full-time Conservation and Wildlife Officer. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to indefinitely postpone Article 54. <br />A unanimous vote. <br />Article 55: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of <br />$7,000.00 for the salary of the Conservation and Wildlife Officer or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />ACTION: No action. <br />Article 56: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from <br />available funds the sum of $10,000.00 to be placed in the Conservation Fund or take <br />any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to transfer from the Revenue Sharing <br />Funds the sum of $10,000.00. A unanimous vote. <br />Article 57: To see if the Town will vote to transfer to the custody of the <br />Conservation Commission the so-called John Austin Lot containing sixty (60) acres <br />being the same premises described in Article 41 of the 1963 Annual Town Meeting. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 57 as read: A <br />unanimous vote. <br />
