TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br />May 12,1975 <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br />Barnstable, ss: <br />317. <br />To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massac husetts, you are hereby <br />directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, <br />who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on <br />Monday, the 12th day of May 1975 at Seven o'clock p.m. for the following <br />' purposes: <br />To act on the Articles contained in the warrant. To meet at the <br />Tom Hall the following Wednesday, May 14,1975, to bring in their votes' <br />for the election of the following officers: <br />One Selectman for three years. <br />One Assessor member for three years. <br />One Town Clerk for three years. ' <br />One Planning Board member for five years. <br />One Planning Board member for two yfars, unexpired term. <br />One Library Trustee for three years. <br />One School Committee member for three years. <br />One Board of Health member for three years. <br />The polls will be open at 10:00 o'clock a.m. and will be closed <br />at 8:00 p.m. <br />Moderator peter M. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br />There were 285 voters present, cohstmtuting a quorum. <br />Reverend Davies blessed the meeting with a prayer. <br />Tellers were: Eleanor M. Peters, Mary H: Potter, Marie A. Fitzgerald, <br />and Patricia Cooper. <br />Article 1. Bright <br />Motion made and seconded to accept nominated members.A u- <br />nanimous vote. � <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to accept the Town Officers' <br />Reports of take any other action thereon. <br />So voteaeTION: Motion duly made and seconded that Article 2 be tabled. <br />Article 3. To see if the Town will hear and act upon the reports <br />of any Committee for any purpose the Town may deem advisable. <br />ACTION: Selec3tman Randolph G. Peters offered an humanitarian I <br />certificate to Miss Norma Dias for nursing an injured goose back to <br />health. Motion duly made and seconded that Article 3 be accepted as I <br />' read. So Voted. <br />i <br />Artic le 4. .To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treas- <br />urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to <br />time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning July;l, <br />1975, in accordance with the provisions of General Law s, Chapter 44, <br />Section 4, and to issue a note or notes as may be given for a period of <br />less than one year in accordance with General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 17. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 4 as read. <br />So Voted. <br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen <br />to made application, accept and implement a United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant and to <br />Execute the application and/or any and all other documents necessary for <br />foregoing grant; such grant to be 100% to the Town. <br />I <br />I <br />
