1 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />SPECIAL TOWN!MEETING WARRANT <br />"i'March 31, 1976 <br />Barnstable, SS: <br />To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee <br />GREETINGS: <br />341' <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to <br />notify 57nd summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are gxalified to <br />vote in the elections to meet at the Town Hall on March 31, 1976, at seven o'closk <br />P.M. (7:00 p.m.) to xt on the Articles contained in the following Warrant. <br />t The house was polled at one hundred nineteen (119). A quorum present, <br />Kevin D. O'Connell, Acting Moderator, due to the resignation of Peter M. Lawrence, <br />opened the meeting at 7:25 p.m. A moment of silent prayer was observed in memory <br />of Mr. Gordon L. Green, who died on March 22, 1976. Mr. Green as an Assessor for <br />the Town of Mashpee for fifteen years. <br />A Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the sum <br />of $1,500.00 to be applied to the Selectmen's Expense Account. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $1,100 to <br />be applied to the Selectmen's Expense Account. AVote. <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the <br />sum of $350.00 to be applied to the Executive Secretary's Expense Account. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $350.00 <br />to be applied to the Executive Secretary's Expense Account. A vote. <br />Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the <br />sum of $4,400.00 to be applied to the Street Lights Account to cover the increased <br />rates of street lights. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of <br />$3,300.00 to be applied to the Street Lights Acc6unt. A vote. <br />Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to transfer #3,270.91, plus interest, <br />from the Post War Rehabilitation Account to the General Treasury and close this <br />account. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to accept Article 4 as read. A vote. <br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the General Treasury <br />the sum of $3,270.91, plus interest, to the (bnservation Fund, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to transfer from available funds the sum of <br />$3,270.91, plus interest, to the Conservation Fund. A vote. <br />Article 6: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the <br />sum of $1,000.00 for architectural services for plans and specifications for <br />renovations of Town Hall Offices. A vote. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $1,000.00 <br />for Architectural Services for plans and specifications for renovations of Town <br />Hall Offices. A vote. <br />Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the <br />sum of $3,143.17 to pay "unpaid wages" and Holiday pay for the period of Julyl, 1975, <br />through January 31, 1976, to the following firefighters: <br />William Chase <br />$236.03 <br />Donald Duarte <br />698.38 <br />Howland Evora <br />245.41 <br />Teddy Hendricks <br />493.23 <br />Warren Hicks <br />210.03 <br />James Medeiros <br />419.14 <br />James Volpe <br />540.20 <br />Gregory Willis <br />300.66 <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $3,143.17 <br />to pay "unpaid wages" and Holiday pay.
