<br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
<br />To the Constable of the Toon of Mashpee
<br />Greetings:
<br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed
<br />to -notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified
<br />to vote in the elections, to meet at Queen of All Saints Church, Great Neck Road,
<br />Mashpee, on Tuesday, June 29, 1976, at seven o'clock, p.m., for the following
<br />purposes:
<br />To act on the Articles contained in the following Warrant:
<br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money, by
<br />borrowing or otherwise, for a period of time shot to exceed twenty (20) years, for
<br />the construction, furnishing and originally equipping a new middle school to serve
<br />grades 4 through 8, to be located on land owned by the Town of Mashpee off
<br />Barnstable -Falmouth Road, plus a sum of money sufficient to pay interest on any
<br />bonds or notes issued hereunder, or take any other action relative thereto.
<br />SUBMITTED BY THE SCIOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE
<br />RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN
<br />ACTION: Unanimously voted that the sum of $3,672,000 be hereby appropriated
<br />for the purpose of constructing, furnishing and originally equipping a new middle
<br />school to serve grades 4 through 8, to be located on land owned by the Town of
<br />Mashpee off Barnstable -Falmouth Road, and that to meet such appropriation
<br />the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be authorized to borrow the sum of '
<br />$3,672,000 at one time or from time to time, under and pursuant to Chapter 645 of th
<br />Acts of 1948 as amended and supplemented, or any other enabling authority, to issue
<br />bonds or notes of the town therefor, to mature in not more than 20 (twenty) years
<br />from their respective dates, and to take any other actionielative thereto. And,
<br />further, that $220,320 be raised and appropriated for the purpose of paying interest
<br />on any notes or bonds issued hereunder.
<br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money, by
<br />borrowing or otherwise, for a period of time not to exceed twenty (20) years, for
<br />the construction, furnishing and originally equipping of six additional classrooms
<br />as a part of the new middle school to be located on town -owned land, plus a sum
<br />of money sufficient to pay interest on any bonds or notes issued hereunder, or take
<br />any other action relative thereto.

<br />RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN
<br />ACTIOK }doted, that the sum of $236,600 be hereby appropriated for the
<br />purpose of constructing, furnishing, and originally equipping six addition�i„
<br />classrooms as a part of the new middle school to be located on town -owned land, and
<br />that to meet such appropriation the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen
<br />be authorized to borrow at one time or from time to time, under and
<br />pursuant to Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948 as amended and supplemented, or any '
<br />other enabling authority, to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, to mature
<br />in not more than twenty (20) years from their respective dates, and to take any
<br />other action relative thereto. And; £urther,that $14,200 be raised and appro-
<br />priated for the purpose of paying the interest on any notes or bonds issued
<br />hereunder.
