372 Special Town Meeting September 23, 1976 TOWN OF MASHPEE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT September 23, 1976 THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS Barnstable, ss: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notifyrand summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to,yote in the elections, to meet at Queen of All Saints Church, Great Neck Road, Mashpee, on Thursday, September 23, 1976, at seven o'clock, p.m., for the following purposes To act on the Articles contained in the Warrant. Since a quorum was present, Moderator, Frank M. Leonardi, called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. with 654 voters in attendance. Tellers were: Mary Potter Eleanor Thaxton Marian Folkins Grace Maddox Anne Shackett Alexis Hanson Joyce Howell Lois MacDonald ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the Legal and Engineer- ing Account. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000., said sum to be added to the Selectmen's Legal and Engineering Account. So Voted. ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ to be applied to the Selectmen's Expense Account. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000.00 to be applied to the Selectmen's expense account and the sum of $1,000.00 to be applied to a Selectmen's out-of- state travel account. So Voted. ARTICLE 3._� To see if the Town will vote to rescind the amount set for the salaries of the Selectmen in Article 6 of the May 5, 1976, Annual Town Meeting and to set an additional sum of money for said salariess and to raise and appropriate or take from available funds a sum suffieient to pay said salaries. ACTION: A Motion was made and seconded that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $22,359.for salaries for the Selectmen and rescind the amount set for Selectmen's salaries at the last annual Town Meeting. So voted. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof, one at the Town Hall, one at the Post Office, one each on the bulletin boards, fourteen days at least before said meeting. Hereof Fail not and make returns of this Warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said meeting.
