<br />Annual Town Meeting -8- May 1, 1978
<br />ARTICLE 9. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town
<br />Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money
<br />from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the
<br />Financial year beginning July 1, 1978, in accordance with the
<br />provisions of General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 4, and to
<br />issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and
<br />to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of
<br />less than one year in accordance with the General Laws,
<br />Chapter 44, Section 17. (Submitted by the Treasurer)
<br />' ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 9
<br />as read. Motion carried.
<br />ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
<br />priate or take from available funds the sum of $5,000.00, or
<br />any other sum, for unemployment insurance benefits in accor-
<br />dance with Federal Law, or take any other action thereon.

<br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 10
<br />to read:
<br />"To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate
<br />the sum of $5,000 for unemployment insurance benefits in
<br />accordance with Federal Law."
<br />Motion carried.
<br />ARTICLE 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
<br />priate or take from available funds the sum of $4,500, or any
<br />other sum, for an audit to cover the period from July 1, 1977,
<br />to June 30, 1978, to meet the requirements of the new Revenue
<br />Sharing Act, or take any other action thereon. (Submitted by
<br />the Board of Selectmen)
<br />' ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 11 to
<br />read: "To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate
<br />the sum of $4,500 for an audit to cover the period from
<br />July 1, 1977, to June 30, 1978, to meet the requirements of
<br />the new Revenue Sharing Act."
<br />Motion carried.
<br />The moderator adjourned the meeting at 10:15 p.m. until
<br />Tuesday.;. May 2, 1978 at 7:00 p.m.
<br />May 2, 1978 Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. due to No
<br />quorum, to be reconvened on May 8, 1978, Monday at 7:30 p.m.
<br />The Moderator, Frank Leonardi, opened the meeting on
<br />May 8, 1978 at 8:20 p.m. A quorum was present.
<br />ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town
<br />of Mashpee Zoning Bylaw by deleting therefrom, Section 11 in
<br />its entirety and substituting therefor the following:

<br />Section 11 FLOOD PLAIN ZONE PROVISIONS. Permits for new con-
<br />struction, alteration of structures, or other development
<br />(any man-made change to improved or unimproved real estate,
<br />including but not limited to buildings or other structures,
<br />mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or
<br />drilling operations), at or below the Base Flood Elevation
<br />as specified with the A and V zones (in unnumbered A zones,
<br />in the absence of Flood Insurance Administration data, the
<br />base flood elevations shall be determined by obtaining, re-
<br />viewing and reasonably utilizing any existing base flood
<br />elevation data from Federal, State or other sources) as
<br />designated on special F.I.A. Flood Insurance Rate Maps,
<br />
