-2- The meeting is now called to order -- shortly after 700 p.m. Barbara talks about emergency actsa If the Conservation Commission fails to act favorably within twenty-four hours of receipt of a request for certification of an emergency project, said project may be certified by the Commissioner or his designee. Pauline: Number 1 -- An emergency act by Mr. Courtemanche. On January 22, I got a letter from him- and I gave his wife a Notice of Intent and told her to file. Did not file. So this was upstairs -- Certification of Emergency Work, Mashpee River abutting museum parking lot dated February 4. (Pauline proceeded to read) (Also passed Robert Courtemanche's letter of January 20 around to the board). Charles: As I understand it, it should have been hand delivered to a member, of the com- mittee or to you, Pauline, or sent by certified mail. Pauline: The date of the letter was January 20. This was February 4 (referring to Certi- fication of Emergency) and I received it February 6. Charles: I am saying that it was not properly delivered. Pauline: We will take a vote of the board to see how everybody feels. Barbarat Opposed. _ All the rest in favor. Pauline: Would someone make a motion to issue the emergency. Charlest I will move that we give him the emergency condition to act under. Pauline: Does anyone want to second that? Dick: I will second it. Pauline: We will issue an emergency then. Dorothy: Willing to have him do it and get the plan afterwards. SEEDLINGS All the seedlings have been ordered for the conservation commission and Pauline will pick them up. Pauline dicusses the distribution of the seedlings this year -- the possibility of donating them. Barbarat I move that we donate the seedlings to the highway department to be used at the compound. Dorothy: Give them part of them. Dickt Give them 200 and limit two or three per person.
