CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, March 12, 1980
Present:
Dorothy G. Studley, Vice Chairperson
Wayne Tavares
Richard Cohen
Kenneth Pecci
The meeting was called to order shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The voucher was signed on the purchase of cranberry bogs.
Richard Morse '
A letter was received from Mr. Morse requesting an extension of his permit. He
was in to visit today. A new plan has been redrawn by a new engineer. He is
asking for a dock but did not provide for any leeway for a float. He wants to
know if he has to refile. In original Order of Conditions it says: "Any re-
vision to the reference plan shall be sent to the Commission for a review to.
evaluate the necessity for a new hearing." This expires on the 27th of March,
Dorothy feels that he should re-apply simply because this is ACEC, part of
Great River. The pier will extend 20 feet plus the float which is 10' x 14' --
a total of 30 feet into the river,
Dick feels he should re-apply. Makes a motion.
Ken also feels he should re-apply -- the float is different. Seconds the motion.
Wayne agrees with the decision.
Board is unanimous in their decision.
Minutes of February 27, 1980
Dorothy would like to clarify Pauline's statement on Page 15 about the Wetland's
Protection Act. We were talking about the new bill -- The statement about "the
State statute says no one shall build within 100 feet of wetlands" is not complete.
Anyone can build within 100 feet provided they file Notice of Intent and receive
an Order of Conditions.
Applicants Joseph T. Raduano, Eldredge Engineering
Submitted by: Robert Bunikis
Dorothy: A Notice of Intent was submitted by Mr. Robert Bunikis to construct a
dock and swimming pool in addition to facility on Popponesset Island. The swim-
ming pool will be in front of the house right at the top of the slope and a 146'
pier with floats.
