-4-
Pauline: This house, according to the Notice of Intent, has been there for forty-five
years.
Dick: Now when you come down Sturgis Lane and take a left and then a right -- are one
of the two houses in front, 'one of the houses that we are talking about?
Mr. Richardson: When you go down the road (Sturgis Lane), there is a left bend and at
that bend, there is a right almost straight ahead which goes to my house.
Barbara— Doesn't the depth of that pond change?
Mr. Murphy: I don't think there is no more than a foot change. It is almost the same
level in the change as Mashpee Pond. There are cranberry bogs in there too so they hold
some of that.
Wayne: He is still talking 20 feet plus or minus a foot or two.
Pauline: There is a banking there on the back, Barbara.
Mr. Richardson: I would say there is no more than a foot unless we had a drought.
Pauline: Well I can tell you right now all the ponds through the Cape are extremely high.
Mr. Murphy: That pond also feeds into the Mashpee Pond and will have a run-off all the
time.
Charles: I know that the water in the last couple of years has come up a lot higher than
it was before.
Mr. Murphy: Well we had a drought five years ago.
Charles: Yes, which dropped down. The thing that I was wondering is this to be a poured
foundation or cinder block?
Mr. Murphy: Cinder block.
Charles: And your finish grade on that, will it be a three to one pitch.
Mr. Murphy: It is going to be basically as it is now. It is not going to be changed that
much.
Mr. Richardson: It's about two feet and twenty feet.
Mr. Murphy: We are jacking the building up two feet to use up the contents that is coming
out from underneath the building as fill around the house. The back side of the house will
be built up a little more. So, most of that stuff will be utilized. What I have is inten-
tions of not touching the front.
Barbara: That was going .to be our next question -- stay away from the front.
Mr. Murphy: What will probably get disturbed is maybe four to five feet around the perime-
ter.
Wayne: So there is nothing going out or coming in?
