-11-
Wayne, cont. :
your floor choice will be above the pool here plus your flooring will use 2 x 10's or
what have you.
Mr. Gordon: The house structure is basically a foot.
Wayne: Right. So, there is your eleven feet. You are going to be eleven feet outside
the foundation and ten feet out here and then you are going to go back down to five feet.
Mr. Gordon: Except that you don't start the berming at the ten foot elevation. You start
that at something like eight feet.
Wayne: At eight feet? Then you are going to have a retaining wall.
Mr. Gordon: Yes.
Wayne: Okay. I missed that. I am sorry.
Mr. Gordon: The wall is right here (shows on the model),
Wayne: Okay, I thought that was a fence. That actually goes down another two feet.
Mr. Gordon: That's right. Otherwise, I would have the problem that you are talking about. ,
I am talking of a vertical berm of 3 feet maximum which I put on my request. To make it
aesthetically pleasing what you do is run the siding down to 8' feet. You have to have 6"
of foundation showing which is the minimum by state law and it is also the maximum by New
Seabury.
Barbara: Do you have that all staked?
Mr. Gordon: Yes.
Pauline: Go down and see it, Barbara. Any other questions by the Board?
Board: No.
Pauline: Mr. & Mrs. Black, do you have any other questions?
Mr. Black: No.
Mr. Gordon: Mrs. DeLory, what do I do now? ..
Pauline: As soon as I get a number from DEQE and you can call them and ask them why you
have not been issued a number because without that number, I cannot issue an, Order of
Conditions. Call Mr. Anderson and ask him why it has not been issued. As soon as I get
that, the Board will go down and do an on site inspection and will issue an Order of Con-
ditions. You have paid all your money.
Mr. Gordon: Yes, I have.
Pauline: What you do is when you get your Order of Conditions, you wait ten days, the
appeal period, before starting your work. Post a 2 x 2 board and register your Order of
Conditions at the Registry of Deeds and you send that back to me.
Mr. Gordon: So, as soon as you get the DEQE number, you will basically process it?
Pauline: We will meet and draw up an Order of Conditions which will be mailed to you.
