-5-
George RaDoza : The name is straightened out and the street is straightened out.
Referring to the plan -- Right here, he has a wooden bulkhead. He is getting leaks
in the corners. He has concrete walls in here, but he wants to put rip rap across
the front of it and tight to the existing bulkhead. The other thing is that he
wants to concrete grout it. I know the State a lot of times likes to see filter.
But to me, as far as I am concerned, I don 't like filter. It feeds rodents. I
have seen it many times, Now, his dock at present he has a permit to repair and .
maintain. When they built the dock, they didn 't build it at all right, . He wants
to Keep it into the specs -- no bigger than what it is; but he wants to put bigger
poles in and drive them. If you look at it, you can see where the ice has come in
and lifted it. He has got nothing but little things like this and he wants to put
second-hand telephone poles,
. an: How far is that dock out?
George: It is 3? feet out.
davne: Four feet to each pile?
George: Eight feet to the pile. Then there is a float. The float is a little bit
different. I don 't know how come, but this is not the thing that I am suppose to
do. I am suppose to fix up these pilings here and put two good pilings in here to
hold that ramp which is all permitted.
Ken: Are you going to tear that dock out and put in a new one or just repair that
one?
_ George:- I havegotto -pull this apart anyway to put this stone- in here. - If you
have seen it and I don't know if you have been downtolook at it; butitis going
up hill. . It is way higher than- it should be because the ice has- lifted it.-
Ken: How. much_ of the old dock is going to be left -- any?
George: All of the pilings are.. going to be changed.- There is going .to be- some-new
deck -- whatever. is needed new, lnstead -of him having .me .patch it up now- and-then
later on he has to do it. agai-n.- I want to fix -it right-up- so he won't have -anymore_
problems,
Ken: - If you put new pilings In, how do you drive those?
George: Drive them with a crane.
Ken: From shore?
George; Yes, Evervthing will be done from shore. There is no grass there or any-
thing. It is all beach. I am going to come down a right of way. It is Lot 12 on
the town plan but on this plan here, it was lot 6. He has permission to take a
couple of posts down so that I can come across here with the stone to put in the
stone on this project here. There is no grass there as far as beach grass. There
is nothing but sand.
nen: What do you have to move here?
George: It is ust a post for a split-rail fence. In other words, This gentleman
wanted to civide his property to show where the Neeple go and to show his own private
p_-oper,Y so he put a couple rails in there.
