Wetlands Regulations and Impact
October '-'9 and 30, 1980
Approval was made for Wayne to attend the program on 'Wetlands Regulations and
Impact being held at the Daniel Webster Inn, The check for pre-registration
was sent in on October 16, 1980.
SE43-89
Christopher Kuebier
Fields Point Manufacturing Corp. (New Seabury)
A letter was received on October 3, 1980, stating that they are preparing to add
additional fill to the embankment adjacent to the n2 tee of their golf course,
Community .Assistance ?ror_ram
Coastal Zone Management
Ren: I have read about half way through this. What it is they do impacts. You
can write up a proposal and they give you money. They don 't do anything like boat
ramps -- I was trying to see if they would build the town boat ramp; but I don't
think so because they say: no capital expenditures.
Charles: Yes, they are all study programs. When they first started with this, I
got together with Kirfoot from Falmouth. We thought what we would be able to do
is get some money for a lake's management applying it to John 's 'Pond where we had
put the time in. It was given no consideration whatsoever. Even though Cape Cod
was in total involvement with coastal zone, they would take care of the salt water
interests first. And what you are running into is that Harwich and everybody else
has got together a study proposal for either a marina or a study proposal for avail-
ability for shellfish or something of this nature. Our commercial fisheries were
involved -- they needed more pier spacing, dock spacing and this sort of thing,
Ken: What we could do -- we could get them to come into Waquoit Bay and map algae
cover. Algae cover is a good indication of pollution. If they were to come and do
it, we would have to pay 20%.
Charles: Yes, we would have to gay 201 and we are not that willing to accept "in-
kind". It just isn 't worth the effort to put together a proposal to have them say,
no.
Expense and Wages
As of October 3, our wa'ges are $923.91 . The amount used as of 103 is $469,09.
As of October 10, our expense account is $919,44. The amount used as of October 10
is P0. 56.
