Pauline: May I interrupt, Charlie? Dorothy, was there a Notice of Intent filed on
that?
Dorothy: We issued a Cease and Desist order. We made him file a Notice of Intent.
There is an existing Order of Conditions 'on the beach section, which was what Ken
was talking about first. The ball field is a whole new thing. They simply dumped
tons and tons and tons of fill and killed huge trees.
Pauline: He wiped out deer runs and everything else. He made a ball park and a
tennis court. 1
Charles: The tennis courts are built up here and there is no erosion from the back
of the tennis courts.
Pauline: Yes, but the terrain before that had to be . . .
Charles: The terrain before that had to be a nice slope and what he did was gouge
into it.
Dorothy: What is it that this person wants us to do about the beach area?
Charles: Check it and see how much sand is going into it. I would presume.
Pauline: And issue an order to Blakeman to repair or do something like that.
Charles: I think the same thing with this ball field. I think if there is some-
thing already there and if not and this is still his property, the by-laws plainly
say that you shall not allow any filtration of soil into the swamp area. You shall
control it. Ithink it can be controlled.
Dorothy: We will have to make an inspection.
Wayne: That is going to create him coming in with a notice of intent.
Charles: It is going to force him to do something to respond in some way.
Wayne: What do we do?
Dorothy: We announce that we have made an on-site inspection and that he is going
to have to correct the problem forthwith.
Charles: I would like for you to go out and see it, Wayne.
Dorothy: Also, inspect the beach area to see if it meets up to our Order of Condi-
tions.
Wayne: What do you want me to look at now -- the ball field or the beach?
Dorothy: Both.
Charles: Both, if you can. At the end of this ball field, you will see this big
hole going down into this swamp area. I think it can be stabilized without putting
any machinery over there.
