The Committee has received the revised architectural elevations that show
the changed window layouts to be consistent with the historic photos of the rbuilding. Windows
have been separated in the main building and the side elevation mirrors the original structure.
Six-over-one Anderson 400 series, tilt wash windows will be installed and the casings are
specified on the plans. The siding will consist of natural white cedar and trim will be white. The
doors are "Therma True" 15 light and gutters are aluminum. Down lighting will feature an old
fashion look, similar to what is found on the bridges. Mr. Welch provided the Committee with
the specifications of the light fixtures and accompanying poles. The plans include a winding
walk. No changes have been made to the one large and two small signs with painted lettering,
which will be painted in Buckland Blue. The Committee noted that the numbering on the sign
and addressing for each unit may require further discussion with the Fire Department and Town
Clerk. The Chair questioned the number of parking spaces and it was noted that the parking
requirement is 51 spaces. Ms. Sobolewski also stated that any future development on adjacent
property will allow removal of one parking spot to provide access to those properties allowing
better circulation.
The Commission likes the design and feels that concerns have been addressed. Charles Rowley
from the Planning Board has reviewed the revised engineering plans.
1
