3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 15, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS <br /> Review and approval of various applications <br /> Application by a Farmer Winery for License to Sell at a Farmer's Market, Coastal Vineyards: <br /> David Neilson of Coastal Vineyards; a farm-winery located in South Dartmouth,MA was in <br /> attendance to request the Board support his application to obtain a special license to provide for the <br /> sale and sampling of wine to,prospective customers at an outdoor agricultural event. <br /> The subject premise is the annual Farmer's Market located in the parking lot at 32 Market Street, <br /> Mashpee Commons on Sundays from June 18, 2017 to October 8, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.to 3:00 <br /> p.m. The application has been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources <br /> (MDAR)pursuant to M.G.L., c. 138, Section 15F. Samples of wine shall not exceed one ounce and <br /> no more than five samples are served to an individual prospective customer. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the application of Coastal Vineyard for a <br /> License to Sell at the annual Mashpee Commons Farmer's Market, 32 Market Street, <br /> Mashpee as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed,none <br /> Application for Temporary Signage, Cape Cod Extension Service: <br /> Allen Forsythe presented an application to the Board for temporary signage to promote the Master <br /> Gardeners plant sale planned to be held at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds. A total of fifteen signs are <br /> proposed for placement in site selected areas along Route 151,Route 130 and along the side, not <br /> center of the Mashpee Rotary from May 15, 2017 through May 20,2017. The annual plant sale <br /> will be held on May 20, 2017. Signs would be removed after the event. After a brief discussion, <br /> the Board of Selectmen reduced the amount of signage for the plant sale to a total of(10)ten. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application of the <br /> Cape Cod Extension Services for(10) temporary signs to announce the annual Master <br /> Gardeners Plant Sale as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalan,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed,none <br />
