14 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 7, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Update on OPEB Actuarial Services, Segal Consultigg: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to participate in the utilization of the OPEB Actuarial <br /> Services contract with Segal Consulting for FY16 as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none <br /> Discussion of Ockway Bay Marina, Kenneth Bates,_Waterwa Commission: <br /> At their last meeting,the Board of Selectmen considered the use of Ockway Bay as a potential site for a <br /> Town marina when considering their goals and objectives for 2018. In response to this comment <br /> Ken Bates, Chair of the Waterways Commission indicated there is a demand for additional slips <br /> and moorings in Ockway Bay. In considering additional revenues for the Town of Mashpee it was <br /> recommended the Board of Selectmen give consideration to building a small boat marina at the Ockway <br /> Bay site. <br /> In response the Board of Selectmen indicated they are receptive to the proposal, and the project is <br /> listed as a goal and objective to evaluate this coming year. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Mashpee Substance Abuse Task Force: <br /> The third monthly drop-in-night was deemed another successful event in raising awareness and <br /> assisting with the epidemic of addiction and substance abuse. The next meeting is September 5,2017 <br /> from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at the Community Health Center. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review and Action on Draft#2 October Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> Draft 42 of the warrant of October 16, 2017 was briefly reviewed. It was agreed the Board <br /> would meet with the Mashpee Housing Authority to further consider the CPA article proposed to fund a <br /> new buy-down program. It was also agreed the article relative to the construction of a Pickleball Court <br /> at two sites,be considered as two separate articles. It was noted that one additional article would be <br /> presented to the Board of Selectmen for inclusion on the Town Meeting warrant. <br />
