4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 11, 2017 <br /> Review and approval of various applications: <br /> Application for special event, Building Local Bridges Fundraiser, Shea Paxton: <br /> Shea Paxton was in attendance on behalf of the Building Local Bridges, Do it for the Love fundraising <br /> group to request permission to hold a fundraiser at the Mashpee Community Park on October 7, 2017 <br /> from. 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. <br /> Mr. Shea indicated this venue will help those going through a challenging time to receive a wish come <br /> true and to create a joyful memory. The event will consist of Wampanoag drumming, music, yoga and <br /> arts and crafts. The application for the non-profit does not include a tent or request for signage. <br /> Several stipulations were imposed by applicable Department Heads and outlined in a memorandum from <br /> Terrie Cook, Administrative Assistant dated September 7, 2017. The applicant must provide the Town <br /> with a certificate of insurance liability (standard for use of Town facilities) with a minimum amount of <br /> $1,000,000 coverage naming the Town of Mashpee as an additional insured. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Special Events Application of the <br /> Building Local Bridges, Do it for the Love fundraising group to use the Community Park on <br /> October 7, 2017 as referenced subject to the requirements of the Town Departments and <br /> receipt of the certificate of insurance delivered to the Town Manager's Office. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br /> Catherine Laurent, Department of Public Works Director: <br /> Acceptance of recommendation for award of Electrical Services contract---Bayside Electrical <br /> Contractors, Inc.: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works was before the Board to recommend the award of <br /> contract for electrical services to Bayside Electrical Contractors, Inc, of Hyannis. Bayside was the <br /> lowest qualified bidder of the two quotes received. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to award the Electrical Services Contract to Bayside <br /> Electrical Contractors, Inc. for the current fiscal year. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br />
