TOWN OF MASHPEE PLANNING BOARD
A meeting was held on October 20, 1971, at Mashpee Town
Hall at 8:00 P.M.
Members in Attendance:
Earle Marsters, Chairman
Joesph Delaney
Richardson Jonas
Members Absent:
Thomas Saunders
Arthur Koch
Mr. Arthur Southwick submitted a plan under approval not
required for land off Peters Road on Monomoscoy Island. The plan
was signed..
Mr. Richard O'Hearan submitted a plan for L & M Realty
Trust. It was surveyed by Savery Incorporated. It was a preliminary
plan outlining 35 lots off Pamlico Pond Road. The board informed
him that a topographical layout detailing 5 foot contours would
be required. Also bounds and street names should be shown because
of the irregular contour of the land.
The board suggested that a cluster type of subdivision
be considered for this location. Mr. O'Hearan stated he would
discuss this with his clients.
George Morrison returned to obtain an approval not required
plan that he had passed at the previous meeting. We signed the
plan but decided to get the opinion of the Town Counsel on the
statis of the subdivision. Subsequent to the meeting the Town
Counsel was consulted and stated that in their opinion the
subdivision could be voided, however there could be legal
entanglements. Therefore the board decided to request Mr. Morrison
to submit a convenant covering road construction and that as soon
as this is done the .board will go along with the subdivision.
Mr. Jonas will contact Mr. Morrison and inform ham of the decision.
