Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8,201 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE; <br /> i <br /> Cape Cod Mo o Control—Support to Transfer Pro from Mate: <br /> The Selectmen reviewed con u.nication received from the Barnstable County <br /> Commissioners dated June 1 , 2013 relative to the transfer of the Cape Cod <br /> Mosquito Control program from the State to the County. The use of existing <br /> mosquito control funds would assist Mn the study of alternatives to separate the <br /> program from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. <br /> The Board of Selectmen declined to tale action on this ratter. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Execution of Contract—Horsley tten: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed a proposal from Horsley Witter, <br /> Environmental Services to conduct a study to detern ine the feasibility of <br /> developing an affordable housing project on town-owned land located at 209 Old <br /> Barnstable Toad, Mashpee. <br /> The Town received:grant funding in the.amount of$15,000 to conduct the study. <br /> The estimated job cost as submitted by Horsley Witten is $12,550 to complete the <br /> task on the 3.8 acre parcel. <br /> It was noted that Town Counsel,Patrick Costello has reviewed and approved the <br /> document to form. Upon review of the proposal, and the potential for direct job' <br /> related expenses to be billed additionally, it was noted the project cannot exceed <br /> p <br /> grant finding. The Board of Selectmen also agreed the.Town would maintain <br /> ownership of the study. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve and execute the contract with <br /> Horsley Witten to 'conduct a Feasibility Study at 209 old Barnstable Road, <br /> Mashpee pending the contract amendment; the Town would maintain <br /> owrship of the scaly. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous* -o. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Richardson,absent <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Taylor,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br />
